What should I think when my man of 2 1/2years gives me a makeup mirror for Valentines Day?
I am 50 years old and he is 55 years old and he has the money to get an appropriate gift. For Valentine’s Day for him (us) I got a room for the weekend, put flowers, candles, candy in it as well as our photo. Additionally I have ordered him an art print. Last year I got a camera tripod for Valentine’s Day. For Christmas I took him away overnight, went to a nice brunch, and made arrangements to tour a Frank Lloyd Wright house as he really likes his architecture. I got a light jacket and a scarf.
Debra, I’m 25 and have been with my man for nearly 7 years. I go all out when I get him gifts, however 98% of the time I’m lucky to get anything at all. Which is disappointing! I have found that most men have no imagination when it comes to spoiling a woman or gifts for that matter (excluding the rare males out there who are very romantic) and you may need some assistance if you want him to try harder. You can either accept that either way he did get you something or you could try speaking to one of your close friends or his and getting them to drop a few hints around him. They might even be so bold as to ask him what he’s getting you and once he tells them they can try and steer him in the right direction. Hope this helps!
