Why Call It A “Card Party” When There Is No Card Playing Or Gambling?
My daughter’s high school recently held a fundraiser event; a “card party”.
I had gotten some of my husband’s friends to come along who are all big gamblers and they looked forward to the night out.
However, when we got to the event there was no card playing, no gambling; not even bingo nothing. The event was only for raffles where you pay to enter to win gift Baskets.
The men got pissed and felt duped and that they didn’t come for this. So I ask why call it a “card party” where there is no card playing?
