Bridal Bouquet Ideas – Lighting Up The Wedding Ambience
Other than being an item to be held by the bride, it may seem like there is no other use for the wedding bouquet that the bride orders. But this bridal bouquet has many more meaningful gestures and interesting activities attached to it.
There are several possibilities during the course of the wedding. One could be traditional and supply a bouquet for both the bride’s mother as well as the groom’s. Generally, this is appreciated by all the guests and particularly, the mothers enjoy this activity. But how about providing an interesting twist to tradition and giving flowers to both the moms and dads?
If the bride wishes to give flowers to the women, and the men, there are several ways to go about it. How about enclosing dad’s bouquet in a verse that he will read at the wedding ceremony? How about a flower that will acknowledge the family members who have passed, giving father an opportunity to remember those family members?
The bride may choose not to have the unity candle. Instead, she can make a similar gesture by designing a bridal bouquet that is put together by several smaller bouquets. This bridal bouquet can then be “split” among various family members at some auspicious moment during the ceremony. Many people may receive a share, including the fathers and mothers of the bride, as well as the groom.
Suppose the bride does not want to part with her bridal bouquet at the wedding, but she wishes to play with it at her reception, there are a couple of ideas for this as well. What about a bridal bouquet dance? It may sound silly, but it sure is fun! The wedding bouquet must be placed somewhere in the vicinity of the dance floor and each guest must make a guess about a flower in it before stepping on to the dance floor. Now, the first couple of guests may have no problem because flowers such as tulips and roses are pretty obvious. But the remaining flowers may give them a pause. Obviously, this idea will not work if the wedding bouquet is made of a single flower, but for the normal, traditional bouquet, it will work well.
To add a naughty touch to the occassion, the bride’s garter can be hidden in the bouquet and she can wear it on her leg before the groom gets to take it off. How about having a couple of smaller bouquets wrapped up in garter-belts so that the small bouquets with the garter belts are flung and hers remains intact.
When the time arrives for the bride to fling her bouquet, we have some suggestions. There are some brides who would just pluck a single flower before throwing the whole bouquet during the toss of the bridal bouquet. This idea can be adopted instead of ordering a special bouquet particularly for the bridal bouquet toss.
If there are many single women attending your wedding, a single bouquet probably won’t be enough. Nowadays most brides are beginning to opt for fun ideas. There are some options, really. One famous option is to ask your florist to make several tiny bouquets and put them together to make it look like a single large bouquet. They are held together by a tight ribbon. At the bridal toss, the bride will untie the ribbon and throw it, which are actually many small bouquets. This way, several ladies will get to catch the bouquet instead of just one.
